How do I add Ensora to my Expo app?

Accepted Answer

Install `@ensora/react-native` and its peers (`@react-native-async-storage/async-storage`, `expo-application`, `expo-device`), then wrap your root layout with `<EnsoraProvider config={{ apiKey: 'pk_live_...', ingestURL: '...' }}>`. That's it — `session_start`, `nav`, and `error` events are captured automatically with no additional code.

Does the SDK work without Expo Router?

Yes. Navigation auto-capture uses Expo Router's `usePathname()` hook when available and silently skips it when not present. For React Navigation, call `client.screen(routeName, prevRouteName)` manually from your navigation listeners. All other features — sessions, errors, touches, custom events — work identically in both setups.

What happens when the device is offline?

Accepted Answer

Events are persisted to AsyncStorage under `@ensora/queue` before being sent. The queue holds up to 500 events; the oldest are dropped when full. Each flush attempt retries up to 3 times with exponential backoff (500 ms → 1 s → 2 s). On `503` the event is re-queued; on `4xx` it is permanently dropped. On app relaunch the queue is replayed automatically.

How does Ensora handle GDPR and user deletion?

Submit a deletion request via `POST /v1/mgmt/projects/{id}/deletions` with a `session_id`. A background worker issues ClickHouse lightweight deletes across all six event tables and marks the request complete. On the Pro plan, per-project retention periods let you automatically purge data older than your configured window.

Will the SDK conflict with my existing crash reporter?

Accepted Answer

No. Ensora uses `ErrorUtils.setGlobalHandler` but always calls the previous handler after its own, so Sentry, Bugsnag, and other crash reporters continue to receive the same errors. For render errors, wrap components in `<EnsoraErrorBoundary>` — this complements but does not replace your existing boundary.
